Sounds Like Essex is the original collaborative work of
Bill Feehely, Heather Maxey and Celeste Krenz
All of the material, stories/songs collected from the community and archives over the past year were scripted into “a live radio show”. The show will include stories, songs, art video, improv and audience participation in a collage of the rich heritage and present fabric of Essex and surrounding towns.
The Director, Bill Feehely got his MFA in theatre from Rutgers University , was a founding member and Artistic Director of Actors Bridge Ensemble Theatre in Nashville and is a retired tenured Associate Professor of Acting/Directing at Belmont University. Heather Maxey, the Producer has her BA in Theatre from St. Lawrence University. Heather has extensive experience in acting, improv, directing and choreography and founded Black River Drama in Duxbury MA. Celeste Krenz, is the Musical Director and is a veteran touring singer-songwriter with over eleven albums to her credit with numerous songs landing on the Americana Music Chart. The final production combines theater and music to form a glorious new original production about the people and history of Essex NY and surrounding towns. The performance dates are August 17,18,19 at 7 pm.
